The start

Having spent my childhood years in The Hollies Children’s home from 1952 until 1965. I would often wonder in the years that followed, what the other children from the children’s home were doing with their lives, and where were there? as I had never met any of them again.

Thinking about them also made me wonder were they thinking the same way as me? having searched the internet and finding nothing and a wish to help myself and others find old friends. I set about creating The Hollies reunion group.  With the help of my good lady Barbara we researched what we could about the children’s home, this can be found on the History page.

The Aims

As over the last two years we have seen a steady growth of people contacting the site and many joining in with the reunion group, plus many contacts from others with an interest be it family research or looking for old school friends.

While we set out just to find friends, we have now enjoyed three reunions, meeting some old friends but also making many new ones, We try to offer advice and help on many subjects about The Hollies and Lamorbey Children’s Home were we can and will continue to do so.
