Reunion news.

I am pleased to announce that the 2009 reunion was held in the gymnasium of the Hollies on Saturday the 12th of September. This year was a roaring success described by all as the best ever with over 150 people attending with so many stories told and meetings of old friends and the making of new ones.

Some members flying in from Australia Nice to see Chris and Wendy Gilbert make such a big effort to be there, and Didier plus David coming over from France.

I wish to thank the Hollies Residents Association for allowing us the use of the gym in what was for us a home coming reunion.

We look forward to meeting all again with many new faces already saying they are coming along why not contact me now for further details.

Hi Paul, I managed to collect your book from the post office this morning. It certainly makes an enjoyable read, I'm on page 51 already. You have brought back memories that I had long forgotten, (bomb hole, coconut icing.) Its not a criticism but you should have printed a picture of yours truly so all the readers could put a face to the experiences. Perhaps you didn’t want to frighten us????? all the best and hope it makes it into the best selling list, Ray

Hi Paul, I have now read your book and may I say I read it with a mix of emotions I laughed' I had tears and memories that came back from when I also was there, but all in all a very good read so thank you for that and anybody who is thinking of getting Paul’s book then do you will not be disappointed, Thanks again Paul. Love Joan xxx

Yes I read it today. Very nice read. Lots to think about. You certainly had it a lot harder than I did, Paul, but I didn't arrive until 1958. But it's amazing how much we all must have in common, Well done Paul and the photo of the swimming pool is excellent - brought many memories to mind, most of them involving slipping off that slippery wooden diving board at the far end.

Best wishes to all the Hollies kids

Dear Paul I’ve just finished ”Through the eyes of a child” and loved it, some parts made me feel sad and some parts made me smile, a real eye opener. I think all school children should be given this book to read as most kids today think they are so hard done by.
